APHRODITE HILLS LEISURE RESORT
The signature 7th hole The course is set on two plateaus amid the hills and the signature hole is undoubtedly the par three seventh. Because of the land on which the course lies, buggies are compulsory and when you drive down the cart path cut into the side of a gorge to get to the seventh tee, you will understand why. The track is reminiscent of those winding mountain roads you traverse to reach a skiing resort. The hole itself is a mid length (156 metres) one-shotter to a wide but shallow green with no bunkers. Oh, and between you and the green is nothing but a yawning chasm. Simply, you hit the green (or go a little long) or you're dead, and there's absolutely no way, if you fall short, that you can recover your golf ball. It's the classic all-or-nothing par three that requires a little courage and faith in your swing. No, it's not just a golfer's resort, it's for everyone! ) If golf isn't your thing then the resort also offers a multitude of other activities to keep you, and your friends and family, occupied. These include championship standard tennis courts, horse riding, all weather court for basketball, football etc, health spa, gymnasium, shops, restaurants, ice cream parlour and bars all in a traditional Cypriot setting.
There are many activities for kids including a childrens' playground for both younger and older children. ) Not matter how young (or old) you are you'd probably like a ride on the aerial rope or play mini golf.
There are two kids clubs (3-9), one at the Intercontinental Hotel and one in the Resort Village. There are also facilities for the teens who have their own full day programmes and a special Grotto club with pool, table football, computer games and soft drinks. Events take place in the village square regularly, including markets, dancing, local bands etc. The Resort Village, Golf Club House and Intercontinental Hotel bars and restaurants have many different styles of food and provide excellent service and facilities. PROPERTIES The prices of our properties reflect the level of comfort and facilities offered Villas with pools ) Many of our villas are on the western side of the resort, this is nearest to the resort facilities. From two to six bedroooms, all of them have private swimming pools (many are heated), gardens, are really well appointed and have views of the golf course, sea and mountains. Ideal for those who prefer a private location with a little more space for their fellow travellers.
Terraced villas Our two to three bedroomed terraced villas are situated on small village developments (from 40 to 70 properties) and are quite luxurious. All of the villages are on the western side of the resort, close to the resort facilities, are beautifully landscaped and have communal pool or pools. The terraced villas also boast medium sized gardens and large upper and lower terrace and patio areas. Apartments ) Our one to three bedroomed apartments are situated on small village developments (Orpheus Village shown here) and vary in facilities but are very well equipped. They are low rise, being only two stories high. All of the villages have communal pools (with paddling pools for the younger children) and provide a lovely atmosphere for your holiday. The lower apartments benefit from having gardens and terrace areas and the upper apartments all have good sized balconies. Directions to the resort The resort is in the south west of the island of Cyprus and is easily reached by way of the main A6 motorway which runs from Paphos in the west, via Limassol, to Larnaka in the east, via the A1 and A5. It is two minutes drive from the signposted motorway exits to to the resort entrance.
